Sveti Vlas - The Bulgarian Riviera

 

Set in the municipality of Nessebar, and just 5 kilometres north of Sunny Beach is the striking marina/beach resort of Sveti Vlas.

Also known as St Vlas, this truly beautiful resort set at the foothills of the Stara Planina mountain range, centres on those who prefer the more laid back and peaceful holiday, compared to neighbouring Sunny Beach.

Given the status of ‘City' in 2006, Sveti Vlas is the second largest city after Burgas on the Southern Black Sea Coast.

What`s on Offer

Sveti Vlas has a new Marina,' The Marina Dinevi', which has a capacity for 300 yachts making it the largest marina on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. A stroll around here is a wonderful experience and is a truly remarkable sight to see on a summer evening.

The beaches in the resort our typical of this area with fine golden sands which stretch for 1.5km.,and they are safe for swimming. The summer months have water skiing, Jet Skiing, wind surfing and other water sports,so there is something for everybody here.

The resort has several good restaurants and bars, serving both local and international cuisine to a very high standard.

Accommodation

The resort of Sveti Vlas has many good hotels and apartments which can be found at very affordable prices for those wanting to plan their own trip. Prices are from as low as 200 EUR per week for a self catering apartment which could accommodate a family of 4, are available if you are prepared to do the homework.

Getting There

Flights run regularly into Burgas airport which is approx 30 minutes transfer time from the resort.

Out and About

Day trips to any of the Southern end of the Black Sea Coastal resorts can be easily achieved.

Nessebar, Burgas, Sozopol, Byala, Chernomorets and many others along the coastal route are worth a visit.
