A Beer for the Bones

There's good news for ladies who are partial to a glass of beer! It has now been discovered by researchers that it helps make bones stronger, and may help those who suffer from osteoporosis.

A recent Bulgarian news report found that Spanish researchers performed an ultrasound study on a selection of women which showed that those who drank beer regularly had stronger and healthier bones.

The high level of silicon and a plant based compound called Phytoestrogen slows those prone to fractures and suffering from osteoporosis. Phytoestrogen is a plant-based compound that acts like the hormone and can also be found in a variety of foods such as broccoli, berries, flaxseed, soy products and whole grains.
