Visit Bulgaria to Help Lose Weight

At the moment people living or simply visiting Bulgaria should be taking advantage of all the wonderful summer fruit available, especially if you want to shed a few pounds.

I recently read an interesting article concerning fruit that helps reduce obesity and weight related issues in particular soft fruits like nectarines, plums and peaches.

The new research has discovered that bioactive compounds that are found in fruits with stones have anti-obesity, anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic properties. It is thought that they also help reduce bad cholesterol that is linked with heart disease and diabetes.

The bonus of the stone fruits, especially in weight control, is that they are exceptionally low in calories, and contain essential vitamins and minerals. So it makes dieting a little more enjoyable!

The summer here in Bulgaria brings a great variety of fruit that can be bought from markets, street stalls and supermarkets and includes these suggested stone fruits that help combat obesity issues - Nectarines, Peaches and Plums and of course lots more.

Also, depending where you are, it is not hard to find numerous trees producing these fruits growing wild, where they are freely available to pick. But be quick as locals often get there first, and strip the fruit for making their favourite tipple - Rakia!
