vampiresVampires have long been in Bulgarian tradition since Slavic times and many of the Bulgarian beliefs were still held among many a superstitious Bulgarian in so late as the 20th Century. Bulgarians believe that the vampire is the incarnated soul of a person who has died, where the deceased's body has been crossed by a human's shadow; a cat, dog or other animal.

There seem to be no specifics about what a vampire looks like but Bulgarian tradition implies that a vampire appears in a way where it is a resemblance of the shadow of a human or animal - and strangely, has only one nostril.
