Expats: Great Social Functions!

For those living in the Varna area, there is a series of upcoming functions which will be particularly attractive for expats. If you just want to meet some other Brits, get together and speak English for a while, then these are great social gatherings with an eclectic mix of stalls, flea-market and car boot! Many Britons live in small rural villages, quite isolated in some instances, and this is a lovely chance to get out and about and catch up with others - to get your taste of home fulfilled.

There are many stalls, offering anything from homemade cheeses to books and other paraphernalia, giving local traders a small boost with the opportunity to sell their wares. 'Guess the Weight' and other fun competitions. Many of the functions also support particular charities, including the Bulgarian Society for Animal Protection and Preservation (BSAPP), the Balvan Orphanage, the Anglo Bulgarian Association for the Protection of Dogs and "I can Too".

Why not make it a day out and join in, either just as a visitor to look around, have some fun and maybe pick up a bargain or as a stallholder to sell your wares and clear out your attic...
