Bulgaria Receives Tourism Boost

TV Viewers who subscribe to the Bulgarian Satellite provider Bulsatcom may have noticed the campaign underway on several channels to boost tourism in Bulgaria and publicise it as a destination for all year tourism.

The t.v commercials will be aired from the beginning of September until 26 December, then repeated from the end of January to 27 March. It is a new scheme to advertise both summer and winter holidays, and show the culture and history that can be found throughout Bulgaria.


The commercials will be shown in 5 languages-Bulgarian, English, French, German and Russian and can be viewed on Euro news, Euro sport, National Geographic and Discovery Channel.

The advertising campaign is a project being funded by the EU and is reported to be costing 71/2 million Bulgarian Leva. The advertisements will promote the wide diversity of tourism that can be
explored in Bulgaria, and all year around, from Ski to sea, historical,
nature, wildlife and outdoor sporting activities.
