Earthquake In Southern Bulgaria

An earthquake has been recorded in southern Bulgaria this morning, Friday 3 June 2011.

The epicentre is said to have been 10km northwest of the city of Razlog and 81km south of the capitol Sofia.

The earthquake struck at 05.51am and had a magnitude measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

There have been no reports so far of any injuries or damage.
