New Tax Proposals For British Expats

A proposed new amendment to the law on U.K tax has been put forward to help British expats who divide their time between the

U.K and a European holiday home including Bulgaria.

The new law which if passed will begin in April 2012, and will allow an extension on the 90 days per year that is already in place at the moment before being classed as a resident and liable to pay tax to 119 days per year.

For British retirees this will mean that they can spend up to a third of the year in a U.K based property to spend time with family and friends.
