Cheap Hols to Bulgaria

Why not consider booking your cheap hols to Bulgaria? At this time of year with money tight most of us are dreaming of holidays and where offers good value for money.

Bulgaria has something for everyone with the Black sea coast offering lively and quieter resorts and inland picturesque mountainous regions, and unspoit countryside for various sports.

Last year reports released by Bulgaria's National Institute recorded a rise of 5% year on year of tourists visiting the country. Golden Sands, Balchik, Albena, Sunny Beach and Nessebur were the major popular resorts that tourists opted for some summer sunshine. And all of which stated that the year has been one of an unprecedented success.

The coastal airports who service the Black Sea Coasts yearly stampede of visitors also reported an increase in flights from the Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Russia and prior to events at Burgas airport, Israel. Tourists from the U.K showed a decrease of 10%, however, the number of Russians had increased by 10%.

2012 recorded over 8 million visitors to Bulgaria and the bulk of these were residing on the Black Sea Coast. It is predicted by The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) that by the year 2017 this figure could more than double to 17 million visitors per year.

Who is it for?

Whilst the major resorts of Golden Sands and the much larger Sunny Beach tend to attract a younger clientele the during peak months of July and August, either side of this period sees a much wider age range including many families with children.

Both of these resorts are great for people who love to party, eat and be merry. There are plenty of marine attractions such as banana boats and paragliding, whilst if you don't like getting wet and scared witless then stay on dry land and enjoy a more laid back big wheel ride or crazy golf.

For the small and friendly lovers then Balchik and Albena in the north and Nessebur and Sozopol in the south will truly amaze and satisfy your hunger for culture. These resorts are abundant with history, fishing village feel and lower key nightlife and entertainment.

Out of Season

When planning cheap hols to Bulgaria why not consider an out of season getaway? The climate on the Southern Black Sea Coast can offer sunshine and warm temperatures both before the start of the new season and after. All the attractions of Sunny Beach will be closed with a few bars and restaurants remaining open all year round for the permanent residents and out of season visitors. Hotels will also be closed up for the season but there are thousands of luxury apartments available in the resort which the owners will be happy to rent out at a very reasonable rate.

Nessebur and Sozopol attract visitors all year round who take their holidays to Bulgaria seriously, due to their archaeological attractions and these resorts can be great out of season. There will be hotels open for business and many restaurants working as normal.
City breaks on the Black Sea coast are a fantastic escape and offer a taste of the amazing Bulgarian hospitality. Both Varna and Burgas are beautiful cities with great walks through their famous Sea Gardens. International and local cuisine is available from Italian to Chinese.

Getting There
