Bulgarian Property Under 90,000 euros

Bulgarian property is cheap compared with western Europe but what can you actually get for under 90,000 euros? For this money in the UK, approximately 70,000 pounds, the choice is extremely limited mostly offering mobile homes, terraced properties in poor locations in the north of England, or apartments in city centres. In Bulgaria for less than 30,000 euros you'll still find plenty of old houses and bargains which need a thorough "doing up", but they usually have no inside toilets and some are even without running water! Most people these days however prefer to buy a Bulgarian property, which is ready to move into or only needs minor modernisation or redecoration.

For the past five years the country has become not only a hotspot for tourists but also for buyers wanting to own a property in a country not so far from home. With flights of just three hours and excellent property prices, no wonder Bulgaria has become one of the most popular second-home locations. Even in today's challenging financial climate, properties are being purchased all over Bulgaria - an no wonder, when you see the low prices. We take a look around the country at what you can pick up for under 90,000 euros, which includes anything from an apartment on the coast to a six bedroom house in the countryside.

Black Sea Coast - at this price range you are likely to be able to find a renovated house some 10 km inland, land in a village for building or a one bedroom apartment on the coast

Ski Areas - a 3 bed house needing some work outside a ski resort or a one / two bedroom apartment in a resort

Rural / Villages / Towns - ready to live in you'll find three or four bedroom houses in villages, two bedroom town houses in attractive towns. For modernisation, there are two or three bedroom listed properties in the museum towns. If you are happy to be in a more isolated area, then there are large five or six bedroom houses available

Sofia - your money won't go as far in Sofia as elsewhere in Bulgaria but you'll still get a studio or one bedroom apartment in the centre or a two bedroom apartment in the suburbs
