Bag a Bulgarian Ski Bargain

With sterling at a record low against the euro, Balkan Holidays is urging skiers to ski out of the eurozone and bag a Bulgarian bargain this festive season.

Prices currently lead in at £204 per person for a seven night holiday, departing from Newcastle on 25th January 2009.

Staying at the four-star Mountain Residence in Bansko, Bulgaria, on a self-catering basis.  Price includes flights, transfers, accommodation and supplements, and is based on six adults sharing a two-bed apartment.

As well as low package prices, Bulgaria is outside of the eurozone, which means money will go even further. But there is no skimping on quality: major investments into resorts over the past few years, especially the country’s premier resort, Bansko, means that in terms of facilities, they rate alongside the better-known European resorts.

Ski passes and lessons are a fraction of the price of French, Swiss and Austrian resorts, and the cost of après ski fun is very cheap too. The food and drink prices on resort are low: a typical three-course meal with one bottle of wine costs from just £10 per person, and a beer from £1.20.
