Balkan Holidays is currently offering great value holidays - and the world known resort of Bansko has much to entertain the non skier, as well as those who are well versed on the slopes.

Furthermore, a recent M & S Money survey has found that those looking for a budget winter holiday should head for Bulgaria. The winter resort survey found that there are still some good value holidays to be had. Bulgaria came out cheapest.

For culture buffs, the old town is a delight and is a listed World Heritage site, dating back several hundred years, with cobbled streets and a traditional atmosphere brought to life by its own unique dialect. There are some 120 cultural and historical monuments to experience both within the town and nearby, including ancient fortress remains at Staroto Gradishte, the magnificent Rila Monastery, and Pirin National Park; rich with lakes, waterfalls and caves all ripe for exploration.

The non skier could also enjoy chilling out at one of Europe’s greatest spas at the Kempinksi Hotel. The Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena is a five star property ideally located at the foot of the slopes and opposite the start of the Gondola lift.  The location is perfect for hitting the slopes for those who wish.
